School & hobbies

Timothée went 8 years to school. Three years in France and 5 years in Finland.

In France, there were many children in the classes and the days were very long, it was quite hard for so little children. When we came to Finland and that, he went in a little village school, where there was, for all, 16 pupils, that changed all his life.

Ecole de Hietanen

The school of Soikkala is located in the village of Hietanen, a very small village in the East of Finland, on a hill, nearby a forest of pine. By the window, one can admire the twinkling of the waves of the Hietanen's lake. I know that, as I had too looked at it in my childhood, because I went at this same school like my father and my mother before me.

Timothée liked his school, his teachers and Iita, the good fairy of the school, which prepared goods meals and took care of the children. At the recreation, Timothée went to the little kitchen to have a chat with her.

Timothée devant école

In class, he was a little reserved and quiet, but paid attention to the others and remained always polite. His comrades of class never annoyed him though he was a foreigner or because of his difficulties with Finnish language.

If another child was annoyed, he took it heartly, and was concerned for the others. He didn't want to cause sorrow to nobody, prompt to apology if he thought of having hurted someone. He was just an ordinary and normal child, but however different.

Timothée à l'école

Timothée was interested in same things as the other boys of his age; ice hockey (NHL), F1, PlayStation, football, cartoons etc. Timothée had, however, a hero; Donald Duck! He received each Wednesday the strip cartoons of Donald Duck, which he read from one end to another, in adition of all the other appearances of Donald Duck's strip cartoons. He visited twice Euro Disney.

Donald was also the hero of his drawings. Timothée could stay hours and hours sitting to draw, it was his favorite hobby. The rainy Sunday and winters afternoons he passed them around the Lego's bricks.

Brique Lego

The marvellous world of books always take parts in the life of the lonely children. Timothée particularly, was fascinated and captivated by the adventures and of History. As well Greek mythology as the Winter War of Finland, Romanov and the kings of France became an alive reality in the sharp imagination of this child, which reflected themselves in his drawings and dreadfullies stories: Adventure on the Lion Island and The mystery of the axe.

Voyage de Donald

The desire to learn of Timothée was unbounded, questions didn't miss and an answer always had to be found. He thirst of knowing, he filled it by reading encyclopedies, books of geography and of history, there were never too much.

A la Tour Eiffel

The mysteriouses doors of the history were opened when he visited the palaces of the Tsars in Russia or Napoleon's grave at Paris. A touch of the faraway countries he had it by eating exotic fruits, recently plucked, on the beautiful fine sand beaches of the Caribbean. This multiculturel child had, of course, inevitably a rich and stimulative life. his life was short, but how much full of experiences and treasures of all kinds.

During his last months, he gave affection to his puppy, Coco, a Belgian Tervueren. This puppy had arrived in our home on Midsummer's Day and could make Timothée's joy.

Coco, belgian paimenkoira When the forces begun to decrease and that the thread of the life frayed, hobbies decreased and the points of interests changed. Heaven became shaper, the little pilgrim's trip approached. Stories of the Bible became nearer, the desire to know his new country grew. Then together we begun to imagine how that will be over there. Timothée liked good food, like all French. So he asked: "Mum, what do one eat in Heaven?"

Timothée got the answer to all his questions. Now, his thirst of knowing is appeased and all became clear. The little disciple of Jesus received his certificate from the hands of Great Master with best appreciation, for his love and confidence in his Lord.

Adventure on the Lion Island

All began one day in England, when a boat transporting golds ran near the haunted castle (The ship transported Henri VIII's gold bars to an exhibition from France). The castle was located on an island called the Lion Island. The divers had tried to find the boat, but in vain. The crew had disappeared. Nobody had dared to go nearby the haunted castle, because they say there were ghosts there.

One evening, Aku, Anne and Ville heard about this hapenning at the TV breaking news. They were astonished and wondered what had hapenned to the crew. Ville started the conversation about the castle. The event had certainly a common point with the haunted castle.

The father of Aku, Anne and Ville was a private detective and he had receaved as mission to clear out the mystere. He asked his children if they wanted to come with, because their mother has gone, for one year, to study English in France. The children were interested. They had to promise to make their duties without balking and to go to bed at time. The children said that was blackmail but they accepted.

The day of the departure, they prepared their luggages and snacks, because the trip was long for about 800 kilometers. Before leaving they asked their father for which reason he was to go there. Their father answered that he was obliged because of his work, and that it was a good place and that the wages were good too. The wages of mum were so bad that he was forced to work twice.

Lastly, they left. Ville, Anne and Aku met, at the moment for leaving, the neighboors' boys, who asked where they were going. The children answered that they were going on the Lion Island and the boys teased them saying: at this dreadful place! The trio got angred. They answered: You will make a odd face, when dad will solve all the business (however that will not hapen...)

The trip proceeded quickly, because dad was hurry. Rapidly they arrived at the hotel on the Lion island. The hotel keeper was of a rich family of the Island. The family had lived the castle for 300 years. The host told stories of the family with pleasure but the only survivor of the family never told if there really were ghost in the castle.

The next day, dad and some police officers began the investigation and they noticed that the beach was rocky. Aku, Ville and Anne noted that there were divers on the place where was the shipwreck and that there was no light on their boat. One of the divers shouted after the children:
  - What do you look at for?
The children did not answered. The man shouted:
  - Did cats eat your tongue? Answer!
When they heard that, the children ran towards their father and of the police officers. The man shouted:
  - Come back silly brats!
The children told the incident to their father and he went with the police officers to say two instructive words to the men. When the men saw them coming, they fled away quickly. The police officers found them a little weird. They noticed that their boat did not go very fast, so they followed them with a boat which was faster. When they caught up the boat, they saw that it was filled with gold bars. One of the police officer asked whether they had the authorization to plunge. They did not have any.

At the time of the interrogation, the men explained that the boat sunk. They explained that they were the only witnesses, then they had decided to take things in hand and to steal the golds. They also explained that they kept the crew as an hostage in the castle, so that they won't gave them up. They have discovered too that the robbers were of the family of the Lion Island and that the hotel keeker was one of their indict.

At the end, the robbers were put in prison. The crew was released. The phantom history was just meant to frighten the children.

The children and their father returned at home. Their mother known nothing about the trip. When they arrived at home, mother has arrived earlier than envisaged and began a serious discution with dad. But when mum knew the reward that they had received she gave up.

The neighbourhoods boys had always dreamed to get celebrity but their parents did not have a good enough work. Aku, Ville and Anne on the other hand became famous. The neighbourhoods boys got angry because of that. The boys bet; that they would win in the football tournament which will take place the following week. They were in the team against the trio. The neighbourhoods boys lost the bet 3 to 1.

The mystery of the axe

The mother of Aku, Anne and Ville, Anna-Liisa, had win a trip for four people for Hawaii. The father, of course, could not accompanied them because the trip was for four and he had works to do. The day of the departure, mummy recalled to dad the domestic works. The children prepared the luggages - Those of mummy also, because she spoke all the times, pointing out the housework.

At last, the bus arrived at the bus stop. They catched the bus to go to the airport. Passport control was made and they waited for embarking on the plane. Then the hostess announced:
- ASS 338 in destination of Hawaii is about to leave!
When they heard the advertisement, they prepared theimself to board at the plane. Anne and Ville get a seat on windows side, mummy had sat beside Anne and Aku to Ville. Finally the plane took off.

The flight was passed very slowly, because the travel to Havaii takes several hours. The plane has landed very well on the airport of Hawaii. The children and their mummy took up their luggages and went by taxi to the hotel. The receptionist asked which room they wished to, for the trip was a luxious one. Mummy asked for a room, which had the best view on the sea. The receptionist took the key and ask the carrier to bring the luggages to the room. From that room, they had a beautiful sight on sea and beach.

The night, when everyone slept, a boat was transporting a gold axe to the museum. During the voyage, the locals pirates stole the golden axe. At the morning, when the children awoke, they went to dive. They rented diving equipment and went to plunge in the middle of the sea, which was not allowed because of sharks. They did not know that. When they plunged, they had a nasty surprise. There was anothers divers which had harpoons. They saw the children and attacked them, then took them along in an underwater base.

Arrived at the base, they asked the divers what all that mean. The divers did not understand because they did not understood English. Fortunately for the children, their boss was English and he understood what they said. The boss said to the children:
- We were obliged to take you over here, because you know too much and we could not harpoon you.
The children asked:
- Why!
And the boss answered:
- Because you are children!

The boss wanted to show what he had got the previous night and which had been put in a safety vault. While going towards the safety vault, Aku saw something special, which could put an end to the projects of the pirates!

When they arrived at the safety vault, the boss showed them the axe, but quickly the children went out and closed the door of the strong room. Aku invited the other children to follow him where he had seen the special thing. The others pirates did the work which had been ordered to them. When they finally arrived, they saw the autodestroying system. They activited it and they had 5 minutes to fly away. They went to the safety vault, opened it and they flee away rapidly. One of the men had noticed that the door was not any more close. They also flee away. The children have had time to leave and the pirates too. A few minute later, there had a big "splash" on the water. People saw it and were astonished by the event.

When the pirates went up to the surface, they had one of these reception; there were many polices boats on the water. They have been arrested. The axe immersed again at the bottom of the sea. The children got a heroic reception. They had a great reward. One week after they returned at home.

Hei! Kävin lukemassa sivujanne. Oma poikani Joonatan kuoli 3-vuotiaana aivokasvaimeen reilu puoli vuotta sitten. Olimme hoidoilla myös kysillä. Siunausta elämäänne! Kerran olemme taas kaikki yhdessä Taivaan kodissa.

Kunnioitan suuresti heidän rohkeuttaan uskaltaa katsoa asioita uudelleen "suoraan silmiin". Toivonkin että he saivat lisää lohtua siitä hetkestä ja muistaisivat kaikkia niitä ihania ja hyviä hetkiä, joita he saivat Timotheen kanssa viettää. Toivotan koko perheelle kaikkea hyvää ja siunausta. Jouni

I think so often about my Anna and when I do I think about all the other grieving parents I know and lift us all in prayer. We so need our Lord's comfort, peace and encouragement. I pray you are held closely in His arms as Timothée's Homegoing anniversary approaches. "I send my weary heart to all; Who shed those tears of pain; With caring tears from my own eyes; my message to you will be; my friend, I pray for thee." What a loving tribute to your precious son. I'm sorry for your loss. What a terrible thing for a Mummy to have to endure. Thank You Yeshua for being with Esther through this terrible thing. And Father, You too had to endure the death of Your Son. And I thank You that we don't walk this alone. I thank You that You are there with us and that because Your Son rose from the dead that gives us the strength to keep on knowing that our little ones too shall be seated with You. They just went before we wanted them to. In the Name above all other names Yeshua HaMessiach.

Hello from America- I saw your wed site address on the site of Addison Toivola, who passed away on Sept. 9, 2003. Our own son, Mitchell, was a buddy to AJ's (Addison) at the Hospital. As I read your story I cried in reflection of you and your sons journey of cnacer and reliance on faith. In Christ, the day will come that we will all be gathered together in heaven - with our precious boy's. Our "Mitchie Boy" also battled with cancer for 10 months. He went to be with Jesus at the age of nine and one-half on April 11, 2003. He had a form of Osteosarcoma (bone cancer) NEVER before seen! In the spirit of Mitch we have formed a non-profit foundation called the "Miracles of Mitch Foundation". It provides Quality of Life Support to families of critically terminal ill children. I have also written a book, "Good-bye, Mitch". It is a brief reflection of his life, my frist years journey of grieving, and how the life of Mitch will continue with many miracles to come. I share this with you in the rememberance of our boys who are together in Heaven! God gave them a purpose - to show others in the world the Love of Jesus! Thank you for your web site in Timothee's memory. I will be praying for your continued strength and faith. I have listed our web addresses and invite you to come and visit them....www.miraclesofmitchfoundation.org and for the book goodbyemitch.com God Bless, Becky Chepokas - Mitchell's Mom

Oman lapsen kuolema on aina raskas kokemus olette kauniisti kirjoittaneet tästäkin vaikeasta asiata.
